Create Your Own Sunshine

Although Ms. Marshall officially retired in July of 2012, she so loved her work with the students she is going to come back to KACC every once in a while as a substitute teacher for the KACC School of Cosmetology.
Mrs. Marshall graduated from Broadway Beauty School in Bradley. As she began her work as a cosmetologist, she realized her thirst for education had not been quenched. Ms. Marshall continued on in school and earned a Level One Master Teacher Certificate in Cosmetology through Sangamon State University in Springfield Illinois.
In August of 1991, KACC welcomed Mrs. Marshall as an instructor. During her twenty years at KACC, Ms. Marshall stays that "Every morning, I would walk in and love begin able to see my students expand their minds. I love to watch them grow."
Being able to have have a good time all the while making sure your customers are well cared for and enjoying their time is what Cosmetology is about. "Create your own sunshine," is what she tells her students.
Everyone at KACC is delighted to have Ms. Marshall grace our halls now, then and again! It's great not to have to say goodbye.
