Where Do We Go From Here?
Especially for Seniors
we go from here?
Kankakee Area Career Center (KACC) contnues efforts to ensure our students have ample opportunity to be exposed to a variety of post-secondary educational opportunities. The program is designed to help them answer that age-old question of where do I go from here.
KACC has reached out to over 20 colleges, trade schools, unions and branches of our US military, offering them an opportunity to come to KACC and speak directly with students.
College visits will be held on a variety of Fridays throughout the school year. Students who are interested in a particular field of study or vocation will be given the opportunity to take a few minutes from their curriculum to speak with admission representatives and receive information to share with parents.
Students who attend KACC in their junior and senior years of high schools largely move on to post-secondary education/training program – around 85% the past several years. Statistics consistently demonstrate the value of Career and Technical Education with higher rates of high school graduate as well as students going on to a post-secondary education and vocational training.
