Principal Tom Hahs recently announced Dan Rogers, Pre-Engineering student from Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School has been awarded the 2007 KACC Student of the Year Award.
Student names are submitted by KACC faculty members with explanations as to why their individual student is deserving of such an honor. While many students at KACC are exemplary, Dan Rogers stood out from the crowd.
Dan recently competed with a fellow student in SkillsUSA, winning first place in the State of Illinois and fifth place in SkillsUSA National Competition held in Kansas City, MO. Mrs. Tricia Nagel, Dan's instructor at KACC stated she "Could not be prouder of Dan. He always is working hard, never misses school, has been extremely successful in his summer internship program, finishing what his mentor thought would be a 3 month project in 4 days." Mrs. Nagel continued "Dan has already lined up an internship with Disney next summer, which is perfect for him as he would one day like to design roller coasters for Disney."
