Accepting 9-Volt or AA Battery donations

During this time of year, it is especially important to have smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms in good working order because of the increased risk of home fires and carbon monoxide poisonings.

The KACC Fire-Rescue class will be collecting batteries (9-volt please) and then turning them over to our local fire department to distribute to senior citizens and others in need of assistance in affording batteries.

If every student and each staff member at KACC will donate just

1 battery, we will have close to 1,000 batteries!

Please bring new (sealed in their package) 9-volt batteries to school and give them to your teachers.  We will be collecting them from December 1st through December 17th.  They will reach the fire department in plenty of time to make many, many people have a safe and happy holiday season.
