Law Students Visit National Guard Armory

Law Enforcement Instructor Bruce Barber was delighted to take his students to the Illinois National guard Armory for Illinoiis Emergency Alarm System Training (ILEASA).

Following the event, Mr. Barber stated "these young men and women learned quite a lot, all while thoroughly enjoying the training activities and the Armory facilities. As their instructors, we knew they were gaining knowledge while enjoying themselves.  This was evidenced by the questions they asked and pressing us on when they might return to the Armory – all before we even got back on the bus."

Mr. Barber is consistent in his attempts to meld traditional curriculum with hands-on training.  "This day at the Armory" he stated, "was one demonstration of that balance we seek in our class."

On behalf of the Kankakee Area Career Center administration, Law enforcement students and instructors, thanks very much for taking the time to work with our students.
