Once again, faculty and students here at the Kankakee Area Career Center (KACC) are gearing up for the annual SkillsUSA Competitions.
Depending on a student's course of study at KACC, there may be a written qualifying test to quality for State Competition in April.
ANYONE who needs to take a written test to qualify, must be aware of the following:
BY JANUARY 13TH:
Study SkillsUSA creed for tie-breaker situations
Be Ready to Test; Each Class will be scheduled on evening between February 17th-22th at KACC. Test Schedules will be determined very soon!
Students Who Compete in April, 2017
- Parent Meetings (mandatory) will be scheduled late March/early April
- Two meetings will be held for parent convenience: Parent and Student need only attend one meeting.
State Contest: April 27th through April 29th
- Cost is $65 per student (Includes cost of hotel, transportation, dinner on 27th and 28th.
- Students will be responsible for lunch on their own (3 lunches).
- Students must have all appropriate permission forms signed by parent/guardian in order to be allowed to compete.
- Student Luggage must arrive at KACC April 26th properly tagged with student Name/Address
