Auto Tech Students Visit "Wrench'd"
Kankakee Area Career Center's (KACC's) Thursday Night Auto Club (TNAC) visited Nichols Custom Fab and Pain in Fabulous Watseka, Illinois.
Auto Technology students who chose to attend this after-school event has the rare treat of meeting with the stars from the hit show Wrench'd. For those who haven't heard about the show, Wrench'd is the number one show on Motor Trend Network.
Mr. Justin Nichols and his crew recently returned from Las Vegas from the SEMA Show. The SEMA show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. According to their website, it "draws the industry's brightest minds and hottest products to one place."
The Wrench'd crew brought a custom motorcycle and a pickup truck to the SEMA Show. Auto Tech students were able to see the motorcycle first-hand in his shop. They even talked Mr. Nichols into starting the motorcycle for them. KACC Director, Matt Kelley, who just happens to be an avid gear-head said, "This has to be one of the best sounding motorcycles I've ever heard."
Students were given a behind the scenes look at the new vehicle the Wrench'd crew is working on. It's a top secret, ultra-cool General Motors product.
Mr. Nichols and his crew were very generous with their time and sharing a wealth of information with our students. He and his fellow Wrench'd stars entertained student questions.
This was a wonderful opportunity for our Automotive Technology Students - they really enjoyed the evening.
