Marine Corps Scholarships
A Note from the Scholarship Programs Department
KACC Director, Matt Kelley, received the information highlighted below. He, along with all of us at KACC, thought it important to share the word. Anytime we find opportunities to help students continue their education after graduation, we will be sure to share it.
From the Marine Scholarship Programs Department:
"...Too few students are pursuing education in career training and as a result there are millions of vacant jobs nationwide because there are not enough skilled workers to accept them. Like you, the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation believes that career technical education is pivotal for our society.
We connected with you previously because only 9% of our current 2,300+ recipients pursue a career/technical education certificate or degree. Our organization is passionate about increasing this number through awareness and connecting with people like you. As a reminder, our scholarships are for children of Marines pursuing a post-secondary education at any accredited school—whether that be career training, trade school, community college, or a four-year university. We are a financial-need scholarship, and we award scholarships to every eligible applicant. Since 1962, the Scholarship Foundation has provided more than 40,000 need-based scholarships, valued at over $135 million. We are the Nation’s oldest and largest provider of scholarships to military families.
Our scholarship application is open year-round for students pursuing career and technical education programs less than 12 months in length. Students can apply at www.mcsf.org/cte. For programs longer than 12 months, our application is open from January 1 to March 1 each year. We are eager to get the word out to as many students as possible, and your help is essential to making this happen!
We hope you will consider using your network to raise awareness of our scholarship to the communities in your state; attached are materials that can be distributed electronically. Click here for a digital brochure. If you would like print materials or more information about our program, please visit www.mcsf.org or e-mail scholarship@mcsf.org.
We believe every dream has a journey and every career has a path. Together, we can help children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen forge their career path with scholarship support and lessen the worry about affording their education.
