Welding Students Making their Mark

"I knew they would do well," stated Spangler.

Mike Spangler, KACC Welding instructor, was relaxing at home taking a look at The Herald's Country Market newspaper when he came across an article concerning Kankakee Community College(KCC).

Mr. Spangler has taught at both KACC and KCC for many years, so he is always interested in articles pertaining to KCC and students.

The article pertained to area students who have been named to the President's List at KCC for the Fall 2011 semester.  Three of Mr. Spangler's welding students, Alexander Yarno, Grant Johnson and Jacob Cothren made the President's list.

"I knew they would do well," stated Spangler.  "Not everyone realizes the fact that our students are well prepared to go on to post-secondary education opportunities," he continued.

To be named to this list, a student must have a grade point average of 3.80 or higher and be enrolled in six or more semester hours.

Congratulations Alex, Grant and Jacob!   We're all proud of you.
