Principal Goodale Announces Students of the 2nd Quarter
Holiday season has come and gone and the students are back in full-swing, working hard in their classrooms and on internships. The second quarter seems to have evaporated and we are already announcing our second quarter Students of the Quarter.
First, a little update on all our students:
Seniors are well into getting their portfolios complete for their graduation and Juniors are beginning work on theirs, which they will maintain for their years here. I encourage parents to ask their child about their portfolio. They are comprised of their accomplishments while at KACC and incorporate their successes at their home school, both academically and extra-curricular activities both in and out of school. We have been amazed by how many students volunteer in the community have finish their senior year of high schools with a wonderful portfolio of which they can be very proud.
As they say in the Oscars, "The Envelope Please." As Principal of KACC, I am pleased to announce the following students who have earned the distinction of being named Student of the Quarter- for this Second Quarter. A student is chosen by their instructor based upon a variety of factors, involving technical achievement, academic achievement and soft skills like attitude, attendance, ability to work well with others, etc.
Each student was presented with a Certificate of Achievement award and a $5 gift certificate package for McDonalds.
These students are now eligible to compete for the honor of Student of the Year and possibly receive a $750 scholarship if he or she is chosen as KACC's overall Student of the Year.
Congratulations to all!
