Welcome Back!

We love when students return for a visit

As has been reported so many times in the past, Welding Instructor, Michael Spangler, has a fantastic track record for having students return for a quick visit.

Each time they return, Mr. Spangler takes immediate advantage of the opportunity for his current students.  The returning students, this time Ian Walton, are always asked to take a few minutes and speak about what they have experienced since graduating from the Kankakee Area Career Center's Welding Program.

Ian graduated in 2009 and is currently enrolled in Wyo Tech, a wonderful school offering him an opportunity to earn an advanced degree in welding.  Their reputation is stellar in the welding field.

"It's like hearing advice from someone other than your parents or teachers," said Mr. Spangler.  "Because they relate to someone close to their age, they tend to pay close attention to what they have to say.  Many different voices," continued Spangler, "offer my students a wide-range of ways and paths they can take in their future."

Mr. Spangler, and other KACC instructors love to welcome students back to the Career Center.  Our sign-in book is filled with students who return and share their success with the up and coming trailblazers of the future.
