Another Awesome Day at KACC

Once again, Kankakee Area Career Center welcomed representatives from all branches of our U.S. Military.  How blessed are we to have this wonderful group of men and women take time to speak to our students about the endless options and opportunities for a bright future.

Not only can students learn valuable skill sets, there are many opportunities for post-secondary education.

Kendra Souligne was a fine addition to today's program.  Kendra works with Kankakee Community College as the Financial Aid Coordinator.  She shared a wealth of information concerning the G.I. Bill.

Many of our students have gone on to very successful careers during and following service to our country.  Our two most recent examples who came back to KACC are with the Air Force; Samantha Williams and Dan Christensen.  Both these students attended KACC through Manteno High School in our healthcare programs. KACC Paraprofessional, Jami Meredith, was especially happy to see them as she had them as students in the Medical Terminology/Basic Health Skills class.

All-in-all, it was another fantastic day at KACC.  We are dedicated to bringing our students as many opportunities to discover their individual career and educational path as possible. Stay tuned for more great events during second semester.
