Part time, On-call Cosmetology Instructor Position Opening

KACC has a position opening for a part-time, on-call substitute position with the potential of additional hours in the future.
This position runs Saturdays during the school year, and Mondays through Fridays during the month of June.
Instructors must have ability and desire to work with both adult and high school junior and senior students to provide curriculum and instruction following Illinois Department of Professional Regulation guidelines. KACC's Cosmetology Program fully prepares students to take the State license examination, enter the workforce, and/or move on to post-secondary education.
Work-year runs concurrent with the traditional school year and i summer-school. The curriculum takes place in the classroom setting and in our full-service salon.
KACC School of Cosmetology is open Mondays through Fridays, most Saturdays, and Tuesday/Thursday evenings.
The on-call position schedule varies depending on coverage needed and is often scheduled in advance.
Qualifications: Must have current Cosmetology Instructor License and hold or be eligible to hold a provisional teaching license in the State of Illinois (6,000 hours worked as a Cosmetologist or, 2000 hours worked with an Associate’s Degree), computer competence and be proficient in Google and/or Microsoft Office suite.
Salary and Benefits: This part-time has an hourly wage which is commensurate based upon level of education and years of experience. Benefits include Teacher's Retirement System, some sick and personal leave.
