Alyssa Pusateri- Wherever life takes her, you can find her with a smile

KACC is thrilled to welcome one of our newest members of #TeamKACC.  Ms. Alyssa Pusateri joined KACC this past September as an Academic Support Specialist,  As an Academic Support Specialist, Ms. Pusateri, joins the Career Services Department offering support to students, helping them realize their competencies, and helping them explore educational and occupational opportunities to fine tune their career planning.

Ms. Pusateri, graduated from Bradley Bourbonnais Community High School where she was a four year varsity softball player, always in a starter position.  Her years playing softball took her all over the country. Fun Fact: Over the years, she has played competitive softball in 18+ states.   As a student, Ms. Pusatari was also actively involved with BBCHS Best Buddies and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

In 2019, Ms. Pusateri graduated Olivet Nazarene University with her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with minors in Biology and Criminal Justice.  Alyssa's passion for softball continued at ONU where she was a starter all four years.  While on ONU's team, Ms. Pusateri competed in three national tournaments and were two-time conference champions.

Her dedication to her favorite sport is now directed toward KACC and our students.  She states she "loves building relationships with KACC Students."  While new to education, Ms. Pusateri is quickly learning the variety of ways we can support our students with their academic success.  Whether it is helping build professional vocabulary in an a particular career area, applying math, or students research how to best help themselves, Ms. Pusateri has one of the most energetic smiles and positive attitudes in our hallways. She is always happy to help a student succeed.

When Alyssa isn't giving her all to KACC and students, she loves giving back to the softball community by coaching the 16u Illinois Stars and giving lessons.  She also enjoys long distance runs, spending quality time with friends, and watching football with her family.  Ms.Pusateri also enjoys spending time advocating for mental health support and spreading awareness to help remove the perceived stigma.   Ms. Pusateri says she also loves to travel and experience new climates, (especially the warmer ones!)

If you haven't had a chance to sit down and get to know Alyssa, we highly recommend it.  She is always welcoming, happy and eager to brighten people's day.  KACC is tremendously fortunate to have her.  Welcome to TeamKACC!
