Cosmetology Program
The KACC Cosmetology Program provides training hours towards becoming a licensed cosmetologist in the State of Illinois.
The Cosmetology program is under the instruction of professional cosmetologists. KACC’s licensed teaching professionals follow curriculum, rules and regulations established by the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation.
Students have the opportunity to use this course as a “stepping stone” to complete licensure requirements. Students will attend KACC During their designated slot time with their school. Students will earn hours with the potential of transferring to Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology.

Cosmetology First Year-
First-year students will receive instruction in both theory and practical application in professional development, salon ecology, trichology, desk decisions, hairstyling, woman's haircutting, electricity, and sanitation.
Cosmetology Second Year-
Students will build upon the knowledge and skills attained in year one and continue working both in the classroom and gain hands-on experience with customers in our salon. Students develop skills in the areas of skincare, hair chemistry, natural nail care, hair color, permanent waving/chemical straightening and salon business procedures and processes.
