KACC IT Interns Can Bob and Weave
Thanks Riverside Medical Center
Yes, our Computer Technology students on an IT Internship at Riverside Medical Center showed their IT prowess as well as their dexterity, working with Riverside's Tech Support Specialist, Alan West.
Dan Estes, a home-schooled student who attends the Career Center and Brandon Maisonneuve from Iroquois West High School (pictured above) worked with Mr. West to replace 16, forty-pound batteries in the interstitial space of Riverside's East Tower building.
Lucas Papineau was delighted to receive the picture and a good word from Mr. West, stating, "Anytime we can partner with our local business community to arrange a worthwhile internship experience like this one with Riverside, it a fantastic deal for our students. Internships like these expose them to the real world of work. As an instructor, I am proud to see these two gentlemen take their classroom knowledge and putting it to good work.
Internships like these are a win-win-win scenario - for the student - the business - and the Career Center curriculum.
Thanks Riverside!
