Law Enforcement is well known for their ability to Protect and Serve.  Today, was all about serving KACC by teaching methods to help us protect our students and our school.

Great thanks to the Kankakee County Emergency Response Team for coming to KACC this morning to complete A.L.I.C.E. Training.

The acronym stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, and Evacuate.  This training was designed to increase an individual's odds of survival if there is an active intruder on the premises, whether it be a place of business, church, school or wherever.

This fine team of local law enforcement officers also provided training and a variety of active intruder scenarios simulations in the school for Active Intruder-Rapid Deployment Training.

The training was extremely informative, professional and meaningful. We are grateful for this opportunity.
