Welcome Representative Lindsay Parkhurst

KACC Construction Technology Instructors and Students were prepared to welcome our first House Guest to the 22nd KACC Construction Technology House.

Great progress is being made by these talented craftsmen and craftswomen.  Today, students were installing windows in anticipation of masonry and siding work.

Representative Parkhurst, under the guidance of our instructor and a student, actually hammered a nail into the house. She did a great job.

KACC Principal, Tim Guerin and Instructors Jeff Umphrey and Doug Enz were on hand to speak with Ms. Parkhurst about their program, how the students learn the skill sets off site prior working on the house.

Representative Parkhurst engaged students in conversation about their future work and educational plans and seemed impressed with the students' abilities and craftmanship.
