Chris Peters ensures every area meets Mr. Umphrey and Mr. Enz's standards.

CC Construction Technology Instructors, Jeff Umphrey and Doug Enz are delighted to have completed yet another KACC Construction Technology House - the 19th house built by the Kankakee Area Career Center (KACC) students and are breaking ground on House #20!

Lisa Sanford, Realtor with Speckman Realty and other area realtors are already showing the home, located in Prairie Chase Subdivision, at 340 Stonecutter.  The lucky homeowner will have an opportunity to select the carpet of their choice prior to moving in.

"We are really proud of the professional manner our students have maintained while building this house," stated Mr. Umphrey.  "We teach the skill sets in the classroom shop", he continued, "and once perfected, take them to the homesite and allowing these young men and women real-world, practical application in home building."

"Prairie Chase Subdivision will be the location of House #20," stated Mr. Enz.  "It has many advantages, being close to the school and most importantly," he stated, "Is an attractive and stable subdivision, where we believe property values will remain intact."

By clicking on the first image in this article, you can view the students working on the home.  When you access the second picture, below, you will see the finished product and know why we are extremely proud of our students and why, this is our 19th home!
